As its a winter festive i was expecting some really eye catching collections from designers, but soo far cant see much of a progress especially with coats and jackets...yeh right very futuristic stuff from Manish Arora as usual, the power packed shoulders, structured jackets and fun hair accessories.......
(just imagine if we really follow those futuristic stuff in future then no wonder we all look like jadoooo.....i kno experimental and versatile designers have that but ..ahh not my thing...kal ho na ho ,why making every one an astronaut).
Anita Dongre blend two of her labels named "A Tale Of Two Cities "show case 40 diffrent styles on the ramp, more of a Rajasthani Traditional interpretations and it came to westren outfits but through out not really impressive.on the other hand,It was textile galore at Soumitra Mondal with batik silk khadi saris. This collection revives batik, an art used extensively throughout and design is heavily influenced by nature...i like it..
its equally refreshing when designers stick to what they do best. On Day 2 of Lakme Fashion Week, Shrivan Narresh did just that. Having built the reputation as swimwear designers....ahhhh well nothing exciting till now for me,desperately waiting for more.
